Rice (Koshihikari)

There are many varieties of rice in Japan. Ours is the Koshihikari and is commonly used in making Sushi and onigiri. This is because this short grain variety retains moisture longer than others and sticker.  It is also commonly served in restaurants across Japan.

This rice has been a preferred staple in our family and those of other farmers in the Aichi prefecture. Due to the climate and soil conditions in this area, it is perfect for cultivating Koshihikari

When ordering from us, remember to let us know your preference of the level of polishing the rice.
